Traffic Management &
Emergency Evacuation Plans

Contrary to what you might think, both these plans are separate documents.

Traffic Management Plans are designed to ensure the smooth flow of vehicle and pedestrian movements onsite, effectively managing traffic risks and minimising vehicle-related accidents. These plans clearly define the roles and responsibilities of traffic managers and drivers, as well as daily and emergency traffic control procedures.

Emergency Evacuation Plans provide clear guidance to ensure everyone on site knows where to go in the event of an emergency. These plans include detailed directions to assembly points, alternate routes, and the locations of fire safety equipment, dangerous goods, fire hydrants, and assembly areas.

Spill Kit and Emergency Shower Audit (Site Review)

Comprehensive Spill Kit and Emergency Shower Assessment

Entrust us with a thorough evaluation of your spill kits and emergency showers. One of our specialists will conduct an on-site inspection to assess the condition and compliance of your equipment.

This includes:

  • Spill Kit Suitability: Analyse the specific risks within your environments (e.g., industrial, laboratory settings), and assess whether the existing kits are fit for purpose or if different types (oil-only, chemical, universal) are required.
  • Contents Review: Conduct a detailed review of the components inside your existing spill kits including absorbent pads, socks, pillows, gloves, and disposal bags. We evaluate the quality, quantity, and functionality of each item. Recommendations for replacements or upgrades will be provided where necessary.
  • Hazard Identification: Identify potential site-specific hazards such as drainage risks or the need for additional secondary containment. We will also verify that all required safety signage is installed and compliant with regulatory standards.

For emergency showers, our inspection covers the following critical aspects:

  • Installation and Accessibility: Assess the installation configuration (e.g., wall-mounted vs. freestanding) to ensure rapid accessibility during an emergency, in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Flow Rate & Activation: Test the emergency shower’s flow rate and the activation mechanism to confirm rapid response times in emergency scenarios. We also verify dual-function units for both eye and body decontamination.
  • Check for Adequate Coverage: Ensure that the emergency showers deliver a sufficient coverage area for complete body decontamination as per industry standards.
  • Temperature Regulation: Check the system’s ability to regulate water temperature to prevent thermal shock during emergency use.

Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods Consulting

Our audits provide a practical, cost-effective way to identify compliance gaps in chemical storage, handling, and spill readiness – helping you meet the strenuous requirements of the Hazardous Substances Regulations 2017.

We offer the following audit services:

– Spill and Environmental Audit

Our team will come on site to conduct a detailed inspection to assess your spill response readiness, environmental compliance, and the proper placement, maintenance, and contents of your spill kits.

After the audit, you’ll receive a detailed report with photographic evidence, recommended corrective actions, and compliance status. Regular audits are key to keeping your workplace safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible.

– Hazardous Substances Site Audit

This is a focused, practical review of your workplace’s chemical handling, storage, and spill readiness.

Designed as a lower-tier alternative to a full Location Compliance Certificate (LCC) audit, this service targets essential compliance elements under HSR2017 regulations and EPA guidelines.

– Pre-LCC Audit

This audit is ideal for companies that are aware they trigger the requirements for a full Location Compliance Certificate (LCC), and are seeking clear, actionable guidance to get your site ready for sign-off by a compliance certifier.

We also consult with a range of experienced compliance certifiers to ensure your site’s readiness and alignment with regulatory expectations.
