Chemical Spill Response Training

This course provides you with training and instruction on how to deal with small and medium-sized spills.
The regulations require employers to provide adequate training for employees on responding to any chemical spills.
This spill component is trained during the Regulation 4.5 courses and are available as standalone courses either 50 minutes onsite or self paced eLearning
Chemical spill training provides employees with the knowledge and skills to respond to chemical spills safely and quickly. This training is important to reduce the risk of injury, illness, or environmental damage.
Training must cover procedures to respond to chemical spills, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the correct use of equipment for spill containment and clean-up. The regulations also mandate that employers provide chemical spill training to all employees likely to come into contact with hazardous substances in their daily work.
This list of employees includes any who handle, store, transport, or use hazardous substances, and any who may be exposed to them during an emergency response. The training should be tailored to each employee’s specific needs and provided at regular intervals to ensure that they are up to date with the latest procedures and equipment.
