LPG Handlers Training Courses
We offer an informative and effective course covering the essentials of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) handling.
Please note that this 50-minute course is delivered as onsite training only.
LPG is a highly flammable gas that is stored in liquid form under pressure. It is heavier than air, which means that in the event of a leak, it can settle in low-lying areas, creating a risk of an explosion or fire.

The potential hazards associated with using LPG include fire, explosion, asphyxiation, and chemical burns. It is essential to take proper safety measures when handling LPG to prevent these hazards.
Some of these safety measures include wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring proper ventilation and storage of cylinders, and implementing safe handling techniques. PPE includes eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. Safe handling relates to transferring LPG during transport, safely attaching a new LPG cylinder to a fork hoist, and what to do when encountering a leaky LPG cylinder and the correct storage requirements.
It is also important to familiarise yourself with the emergency procedures to be followed in the event of a spill or leak. Here you must know how to shut off the source of the leak, evacuate the area, and contact emergency services if necessary.
